A company from Sweden, Alfa Laval, is going to purchase a company from Belgium, StormGeo, which provides weather intelligence and ship routing services. The price of the purchase is expected to be more than $440 million. Such a deal is aimed at strengthening Alfa Naval’s position in terms of decarbonization policy for their clients. They are also going to take advantage of StormGeo’s experience in digital services to enhance their own digital expertise. Япония планирует построить первое в стране исследовательское судно ледового класса, работающее на СПГ, для работы в Артике. Об этом информирует Seanews.  Сообщается, что судно будет оснащено двухтопливным двигателем, работающим как на СПГ, так и на традиционном судовом топливе. Судно будет способно преодолевать арктические льды толщиной 1,2 м при скорости 3 узла. Стоимость строительства оценивается в $310 млн. Японское агентство морской науки и технологий (JAMSTEC) объявит тендер в июне, по итогам конкурса уже в августе должна быть выбрана верфь, на которой будет осуществляться строительство.
