The DOF Group, a leading Norwegian offshore vessel operator, has been awarded a significant subsea installation contract in Africa. The company’s Skandi Acergy, a specialized construction support vessel (CSV), will execute the deepwater campaign in Q1 2027.
The contract, valued between $15M–$25M, underscores DOF’s expanding presence in high-demand subsea engineering projects. The vessel’s advanced capabilities—including heavy-lift subsea installation, precision positioning, and dynamic positioning (DP3)—will support critical infrastructure deployment in challenging deepwater environments.
This award follows DOF’s recent focus on strengthening its subsea and construction support fleet, reinforcing its position as a key player in Africa’s evolving energy sector. The campaign will likely involve complex operations, including pipeline laying, wellhead installation, and subsea structure deployment, aligning with the region’s growing offshore energy ambitions.
