JSI Alliance Delivers Critical Liquid Cargo Berth for Gujarat Chemical Port Terminal

Project Completion Marks Milestone for India’s Chemical Logistics Sector

The JSI Alliance has successfully executed and handed over a high-priority liquid cargo berth project at Gujarat Chemical Port Limited (GCPL), reinforcing India’s capacity for bulk chemical handling.

The berth, constructed under a contract awarded to Afcons Infrastructure Limited, is engineered to accommodate specialised tankers and support the safe, efficient transfer of liquid chemicals, petroleum products, and other hazardous cargoes. The facility is expected to enhance operational throughput at GCPL, a key node in India’s west-coast chemical logistics network.

JSI Alliance provided comprehensive marine engineering and project management services, including dredging, quay wall construction, fendering systems, and the installation of loading arms and ancillary infrastructure. The project was delivered within contractual timelines, meeting stringent safety and environmental compliance standards.

Industry sources indicate that the new berth will reduce vessel turnaround times and improve supply chain resilience for regional chemical manufacturers and exporters. The facility is now fully operational and ready to serve GCPL’s expanding client base.
