Stena Line has finalized an agreement to acquire the *Somerset*, a 1999-built RoRo vessel currently operated by CLdN. The acquisition adds a robust 183.4-meter vessel with a capacity of 2,504 lane meters to Stena Line’s fleet, reinforcing its commitment to efficient roll-on/roll-off operations.
The *Somerset* will transition to Stena Line’s Dublin–Liverpool route, scheduled to commence operations in early December, pending regulatory approvals and vessel handover. This strategic move aligns with Stena Line’s focus on optimizing capacity and reliability on one of its key North Sea corridors.
