MISC Unveils *Th’ailib*, First of Three QatarEnergy LNG Carriers
MISC has officially named *Th’ailib*, the first of three state-of-the-art 174,000-cubic-metre LNG carriers built under long-term charter agreements with QatarEnergy. The vessel was christened at Samsung Heavy Industries’ (SHI) Geoje shipyard in South Korea.
The *Th’ailib* will commence a firm 15-year charter with QatarEnergy upon delivery in 2026, reinforcing MISC’s strategic expansion in the global LNG transport sector. This move aligns with QatarEnergy’s broader efforts to secure reliable, long-term shipping capacity for its expanding LNG portfolio.
