Kongsberg Strengthens Space-Based Maritime Monitoring
Kongsberg has announced the expansion of its N3X maritime surveillance constellation, with plans to deploy three additional satellites by early 2027. This upgrade will double the network’s current capacity, increasing the total number of satellites to six.
The move aims to bolster space-based monitoring capabilities, particularly for Norwegian maritime operations, by improving data coverage, revisit frequency, and real-time situational awareness.
